My name is Michelle Terry and I\u2019m anew BHC graduate and a longtime writer, <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-2cb9a750-77e6-4762-9004-8dba51c4e94d\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/dietitian\">dietitian<\/span>, and healthcare consultant. Empty-nester, mama to two (and wife to one), I\u2019m always stretching, reaching, fluttering; doing something to make my life and others\u2019 lives more joyful places to live, eat, breathe, and dance.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I currently work full-time as a solutions consultant for a large corporation and travel the country helping health systems improve their patient care and health outcomes. My skills didn\u2019t include addressing stress management, self-efficacy, and stretch goals. When I enrolled in BHC, it was with the intent to improve my teaching and communication skills for my day job as well as enhance some of my writing projects. Since completing the program, I am inspired to launch a career in coaching.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I invite you to walk with me on a day in the life. Hold on to your hat! I don\u2019t stay in one place for very long.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><strong>How I Spend My Day&#8230;<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A self-proclaimed morning joy junkie, I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">make<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> myself stay in bed until 5:00. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I\u2019m out the door by 5:05 so I can practice hot yoga at a local studio. I prefer vinyasa and the flow sets a positive mood for hectic weeks full of travel, projects, and coaching. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After three years of regular practice, I am pursuing my yoga teacher training and will eventually integrate that into my coaching business (think: yoga\/wellness retreats!).<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once I\u2019m home from yoga, I lace up my sneakers and go for a short run. Running has been a regular part of my life for decades, and it\u2019s only in the last four years that I\u2019ve had to lessen my mileage due to aging knees and injuries. I\u2019ve had to change my all-or-none exercise, and use my struggles to make coaching conversations more rich and authentic. Because of my schedule, I can coach people about how to stay active while traveling. No matter where I am or what the weather, I find a way to run, explore the cities, and do yoga on the road. Breakfast is a must, and I make sure that a high-quality protein is the star of the show. Usually eggs and whole wheat toast, but I\u2019m not against a leftover chicken breast or Caprese salad! <\/span><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8699\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493.jpg 2016w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before I start my consultant job, I set goals for the coaching practice and jot down the daily tasks that I\u2019ll do at the end of the day. Right now, that includes working on my website and blog, building nutrition content for newsletters, and marketing posts for new clients.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m at my desk by 8:00 and work at my day-job from my home office or teach in various cities such as Denver, St. Louis, Kansas City, Nashville, Austin, and Oklahoma City. <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-6dd34d85-9ae4-4491-ab64-88fb301ae07f\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">Health coaching<\/span> and consulting are amazing complements to each other, and I use my BHC skills to provide better classes, lecture series, and client engagement. Most of my close-the-deal conversations have emerged from the students I\u2019ve had in class. It works well in my busy lifestyle because I conduct the sessions over the phone in the evenings\u2014even if I\u2019m in a hotel.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By the time lunch rolls around, I\u2019m knee-deep in projects, teaching, or grabbing a free moment to work on my book (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cultivating Joy: Find Your Inner Peace Through Mantras and Mindset)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I often forget to eat, so I try to stay mindful and aware of the time so I\u2019m not munching down low-energy snacks and carbs when I\u2019m hungry later. On the road, I reach for high-protein, high-energy fruit, veggies, and lean meat\u2014usually in a salad and with lots of water. Both are easy to neglect when inundated with projects and desk-bound teleconferences. I integrate these concepts into client calls, newsletters, and blog content. If I have a live client discussion, I bring that person into my office, always offering water and having healthy snacks at arm\u2019s length. My afternoon go-to is oatmeal, blueberries, and pecans.<\/span><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8702\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6282-e1548273198174-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6282-e1548273198174-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6282-e1548273198174-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6282-e1548273198174-1152x1536.jpg 1152w, https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6282-e1548273198174.jpg 1512w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If I\u2019m at my home office, I break from work at 4 or 5 and spend one or two hours building my coaching business. If I\u2019m traveling for work, I integrate the tasks at the end of the workday, or before bedtime. My block schedule looks like this: <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monday: Schedule review and task organization<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday: Client calls (client marketing if there are no calls)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday: Website, newsletter, and social media\u2014prewrite and schedule daily content<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday: Client calls (client marketing if there are no calls)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday: Review of the previous week, expenses, clean off the desk<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every day: social media engagement\u2014not always health related, but something motivating and relevant to my readers and followers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m building a client base through my blog, newsletter, Facebook, and Instagram audiences. At this time, I have more than 12,000 followers in all social media outlets. My goal is to attract clients by establishing authentic relationships. I want clients who want to live their best life and desire more than lower numbers on a scale. Life is a precious gift, and I\u2019m called to help people embrace their natural skills to live a more healthy, grateful, abundant life.<br \/>\n<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If I\u2019ve sat at my desk all day, I run to the laundry room and do a quick heavy bag workout to clear the cobwebs. Even thirty minutes gives me the energy to finish the day strong with my <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-8ac649fa-4d9a-4c69-802d-dbdcb9552cab\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">health coaching<\/span> tasks. I have been working the plans in the HCI <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$2K in 2 Months<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> challenge. Right now, I\u2019m completing the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getting Clients Starter Kit<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and tweaking my starter niche. I emerge from the basement, often to find a home cooked meal waiting for me. My husband, Scott, and I have been married for 28 years. He is a retired communications executive and now works as a realtor. He makes sure I\u2019m watered, fed, and cared for; and, unlike my houseplants, I thrive under those conditions. Evenings are spent in our recently emptied nest, still talking about our children. Dane, 18, is playing football and majoring in business at college. Our daughter, Tanna, is a 24-year-old college graduate and embarking upon her own <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-0583bcc9-d695-47a8-83cd-f980436b42ac\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">health coaching<\/span> and personal training career. Don\u2019t be afraid to show your authentic, amazing self.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><b style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Practice gratitude. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being grateful for this life sets the stage for the abundance that will follow.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Write volunteerism and charity into your business plan. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What you put forth comes back tenfold. That applies to money, service, kindness, and so much more. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be open to vulnerability. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People connect with us when we shed our armor. Let down your guard. Share your stories. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>But not too open!<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You are sharing pieces of yourself every day in this coaching space. Take time for self-care, plentiful sleep, and healthy relationship boundaries.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Just jump. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was the hardest part for me. Always a careful planner and list-maker, I wanted everything in place before starting. When an unsolicited client called and asked for a consultation, I said yes. Even though my website wasn\u2019t ready and my office was a little messy, I invited her over that night. She is still my client and doing amazing things. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Just keep swimming. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be days when life is overwhelming and you can\u2019t possibly imagine getting it all done. My name is Michelle Terry and I\u2019m anew BHC graduate and a longtime writer, <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-2cb9a750-77e6-4762-9004-8dba51c4e94d\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/dietitian\">dietitian<\/span>, and healthcare consultant. Empty-nester, mama to two (and wife to one), I\u2019m always stretching, reaching, fluttering; doing something to make my life and others\u2019 lives more joyful places to live, eat, breathe, and dance.\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I currently work full-time as a solutions consultant for a large corporation and travel the country helping health systems improve their patient care and health outcomes. I teach doctors, nurses, and other clinicians how to communicate with their patients in ways that activate individuals to take better care of themselves.\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a coach, I spend my days helping people fight aging, chronic disease, and self-doubt by harnessing their internal strengths. I preach the superpowers of mindfulness, self-care, and gratitude and make it my mission to collaborate with clients to live their best life through movement, meditation, and mindful eating.&nbsp;A self-proclaimed sufferer of shiny object syndrome, you are meeting me on my journey to establishing a career as a <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-a04c90f6-f0e6-4377-abbb-5ef53cfc97f6\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">health coach<\/span> and nutrition counselor.\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8696\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_0405-171x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"171\" height=\"300\">\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019ve been a registered <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-0970a745-c98e-4935-9f18-ded5bea8f5e5\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/dietitian\">dietitian<\/span> for twenty-eight years, but until I expanded my education to include health and life coaching through HCI, I didn\u2019t know what was missing from my conversations. My skills didn\u2019t include addressing stress management, self-efficacy, and stretch goals. When I enrolled in BHC, it was with the intent to improve my teaching and communication skills for my day job as well as enhance some of my writing projects. Since completing the program, I am inspired to launch a career in coaching.\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I invite you to walk with me on a day in the life. Hold on to your hat! I don\u2019t stay in one place for very long.<\/span><\/span>\n<h2><strong>How I Spend My Day...<\/strong><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A self-proclaimed morning joy junkie, I <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">make<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> myself stay in bed until 5:00. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I\u2019m out the door by 5:05 so I can practice hot yoga at a local studio. I prefer vinyasa and the flow sets a positive mood for hectic weeks full of travel, projects, and coaching. <\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8697\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6305-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"><\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After three years of regular practice, I am pursuing my yoga teacher training and will eventually integrate that into my coaching business (think: yoga\/wellness retreats!).\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once I\u2019m home from yoga, I lace up my sneakers and go for a short run. Running has been a regular part of my life for decades, and it\u2019s only in the last four years that I\u2019ve had to lessen my mileage due to aging knees and injuries. I\u2019ve had to change my all-or-none exercise, and use my struggles to make coaching conversations more rich and authentic. Because of my schedule, I can coach people about how to stay active while traveling. No matter where I am or what the weather, I find a way to run, explore the cities, and do yoga on the road. I teach my clients the same skills.<\/span>\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/FullSizeRender-39-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\">\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After exercise, I meditate, do some daily reading, and plan my day while in the shower. Breakfast is a must, and I make sure that a high-quality protein is the star of the show. Usually eggs and whole wheat toast, but I\u2019m not against a leftover chicken breast or Caprese salad! <\/span>\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8699\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_5493-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\">\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before I start my consultant job, I set goals for the coaching practice and jot down the daily tasks that I\u2019ll do at the end of the day. Right now, that includes working on my website and blog, building nutrition content for newsletters, and marketing posts for new clients.\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m at my desk by 8:00 and work at my day-job from my home office or teach in various cities such as Denver, St. Louis, Kansas City, Nashville, Austin, and Oklahoma City. <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-6dd34d85-9ae4-4491-ab64-88fb301ae07f\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">Health coaching<\/span> and consulting are amazing complements to each other, and I use my BHC skills to provide better classes, lecture series, and client engagement. Most of my close-the-deal conversations have emerged from the students I\u2019ve had in class. It works well in my busy lifestyle because I conduct the sessions over the phone in the evenings\u2014even if I\u2019m in a hotel.\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By the time lunch rolls around, I\u2019m knee-deep in projects, teaching, or grabbing a free moment to work on my book (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cultivating Joy: Find Your Inner Peace Through Mantras and Mindset)<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I often forget to eat, so I try to stay mindful and aware of the time so I\u2019m not munching down low-energy snacks and carbs when I\u2019m hungry later. On the road, I reach for high-protein, high-energy fruit, veggies, and lean meat\u2014usually in a salad and with lots of water. At home, I crave what I grow in the backyard garden. <\/span>\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8700\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6720-300x280.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"280\"><img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8701\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6721-295x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\">\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During workdays, I stay mindful of my activity level and water intake. Both are easy to neglect when inundated with projects and desk-bound teleconferences. I integrate these concepts into client calls, newsletters, and blog content. If I have a live client discussion, I bring that person into my office, always offering water and having healthy snacks at arm\u2019s length. My afternoon go-to is oatmeal, blueberries, and pecans.<\/span>\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8702\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6282-e1548273198174-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\">\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If I\u2019m at my home office, I break from work at 4 or 5 and spend one or two hours building my coaching business. If I\u2019m traveling for work, I integrate the tasks at the end of the workday, or before bedtime. My block schedule looks like this: <\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Monday: Schedule review and task organization<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tuesday: Client calls (client marketing if there are no calls)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Wednesday: Website, newsletter, and social media\u2014prewrite and schedule daily content<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thursday: Client calls (client marketing if there are no calls)<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Friday: Review of the previous week, expenses, clean off the desk<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every day: social media engagement\u2014not always health related, but something motivating and relevant to my readers and followers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I\u2019m building a client base through my blog, newsletter, Facebook, and Instagram audiences. At this time, I have more than 12,000 followers in all social media outlets. My goal is to attract clients by establishing authentic relationships. I want clients who want to live their best life and desire more than lower numbers on a scale. Life is a precious gift, and I\u2019m called to help people embrace their natural skills to live a more healthy, grateful, abundant life.\n<\/span>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If I\u2019ve sat at my desk all day, I run to the laundry room and do a quick heavy bag workout to clear the cobwebs. Even thirty minutes gives me the energy to finish the day strong with my <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-8ac649fa-4d9a-4c69-802d-dbdcb9552cab\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">health coaching<\/span> tasks. I have been working the plans in the HCI <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">$2K in 2 Months<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> challenge. Right now, I\u2019m completing the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Getting Clients Starter Kit<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and tweaking my starter niche. I love to write and create, and I\u2019m still crafting my descriptor Hot Hook.<\/span>\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8705\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/IMG_6869-e1548290062192-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\">\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At 6:00, if I don\u2019t have client calls (and I\u2019m at home!) I emerge from the basement, often to find a home cooked meal waiting for me. My husband, Scott, and I have been married for 28 years. He is a retired communications executive and now works as a realtor. He makes sure I\u2019m watered, fed, and cared for; and, unlike my houseplants, I thrive under those conditions. Evenings are spent in our recently emptied nest, still talking about our children. Dane, 18, is playing football and majoring in business at college. Our daughter, Tanna, is a 24-year-old college graduate and embarking upon her own <span id=\"urn:text-annotation-0583bcc9-d695-47a8-83cd-f980436b42ac\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other wl-link\" itemid=\"http:\/\/what-is.healthcoachinstitute.com\/hci\/enhancedcategory\/health_coach\">health coaching<\/span> and personal training career. I love my family; they are who keep me grounded, happy, and grateful.<\/span>\n<img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8706\" src=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/36978800_2002427239768733_971351946852040704_n-272x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"272\" height=\"300\">\n<h2><b>Final Thoughts<\/b><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some parting tips I\u2019d like to leave with you today.<\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li><b>Be yourself.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Your clients, your referral partners, your family\u2014they only want the real you. Don\u2019t be afraid to show your authentic, amazing self.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li><b style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Practice gratitude. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Being grateful for this life sets the stage for the abundance that will follow.<\/span><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Write volunteerism and charity into your business plan. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What you put forth comes back tenfold. That applies to money, service, kindness, and so much more. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Be open to vulnerability. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">People connect with us when we shed our armor. Let down your guard. Share your stories. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>But not too open!<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You are sharing pieces of yourself every day in this coaching space. Take time for self-care, plentiful sleep, and healthy relationship boundaries.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Just jump. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This was the hardest part for me. Always a careful planner and list-maker, I wanted everything in place before starting. When an unsolicited client called and asked for a consultation, I said yes. Even though my website wasn\u2019t ready and my office was a little messy, I invited her over that night. She is still my client and doing amazing things. <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Just keep swimming. <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be days when life is overwhelming and you can\u2019t possibly imagine getting it all done.
