Jennifer Lloyd had built something many people dream about: a thriving private counseling practice she started from the ground up. But even with her full caseload and years of clinical experience, something didn\u2019t sit right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI started to feel disenchanted,\u201d Jennifer explains. \u201cThere was so much emphasis on diagnosing, labeling, and focusing on what was wrong. I found myself yearning for a way to help people move forward\u2014toward wellness, growth, and empowerment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That desire led Jennifer to start researching health and life coaching programs. She wasn\u2019t looking for a quick fix or a side gig\u2014she was searching for something that aligned with her values and would allow her to expand how she served others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a> Discovering HCI: \u201cIt Felt Like the Universe Was Speaking to Me\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After exploring several options, she scheduled a call with a Clarity Coach with the Health Coach Institute (HCI) to learn more about the Become a Health and Life Coach<\/u><\/a> program. That call, along with watching two powerful livestreams, left no doubt in her mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI had done my homework. I was already leaning toward HCI, but a live coaching session pushed me over the edge\u2014emotionally and energetically,\u201d Jennifer shares. \u201cI was already enrolled, but when I experienced that moment, I cried. That\u2019s when I knew<\/em>. I wasn\u2019t just adding a credential\u2014I was stepping into my next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a> Coaching After Hours: Finding Her Rhythm<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Jennifer continues to run her private counseling practice full time while building her coaching business in the evenings and weekends. Where does she find the time to plug in time for HCI? \u201cI call it my \u2018wife time,\u2019\u201d she laughs. \u201cAfter work is when I dive into the program content, participate in calls, and coach clients. It\u2019s my time to connect with my purpose in a deeper way.\u201d Based on the support from her husband, Jennifer finds time that would have been spent with him, \u201cwife time\u201d, to invest in her HCI coursework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of feeling overwhelmed, Jennifer says the structure of HCI\u2019s program worked with her life\u2014not against it. \u201cThe flexibility is real. The way the modules are paced, the coaching labs, the accountability\u2014it all felt supportive, not stressful. I never felt like I was falling behind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She adds, \u201cThere\u2019s a rhythm to it. You\u2019re learning, applying, reflecting, and growing\u2014all while being held in a powerful community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a> From Therapist to Coach: A New Kind of Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Now, Jennifer is building her second business, Stuck to Striving<\/u><\/em><\/a>, a coaching practice designed for people who feel like they\u2019ve tried everything but keep slipping back into the same dysfunctional patterns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy clients are often successful on the outside but feel caught in a loop on the inside. They\u2019ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, maybe even done therapy\u2014but they\u2019re still stuck. That\u2019s where coaching comes in. It\u2019s forward-focused, action-oriented, and deeply transformative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She\u2019s quick to clarify that her coaching work doesn\u2019t replace therapy\u2014it complements it. \u201cI\u2019m here to empower. Coaching lets me support people who are ready to break out of the hamster wheel and help with sustainable change.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a> Message to Future Coaches: \u201cJust Start\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

about: a thriving private counseling practice she started from the ground up. She wasn\u2019t looking for a quick fix or a side gig\u2014she was searching for something that aligned with her values and would allow her to expand how she served others.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-discovering-hci-it-felt-like-the-universe-was-speaking-to-me\"><a><\/a> <strong>Discovering HCI: \u201cIt Felt Like the Universe Was Speaking to Me\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>After exploring several options, she scheduled a call with a Clarity Coach with the Health Coach Institute (HCI) to learn more about the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthcoachinstitute.com\/programs\/health-life-coach\/\"><u>Become a Health and Life Coach<\/u><\/a> program. That call, along with watching two powerful livestreams, left no doubt in her mind.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cI had done my homework. I was already leaning toward HCI, but a live coaching session pushed me over the edge\u2014emotionally and energetically,\u201d Jennifer shares. \u201cI was already enrolled, but when I experienced that moment, I cried. That\u2019s when I <em>knew<\/em>. I wasn\u2019t just adding a credential\u2014I was stepping into my next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-coaching-after-hours-finding-her-rhythm\"><a><\/a> <strong>Coaching After Hours: Finding Her Rhythm<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Jennifer continues to run her private counseling practice full time while building her coaching business in the evenings and weekends. Where does she find the time to plug in time for HCI? \u201cI call it my \u2018wife time,\u2019\u201d she laughs. \u201cAfter work is when I dive into the program content, participate in calls, and coach clients. It\u2019s my time to connect with my purpose in a deeper way.\u201d Based on the support from her husband, Jennifer finds time that would have been spent with him, \u201cwife time\u201d, to invest in her HCI coursework.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Instead of feeling overwhelmed, Jennifer says the structure of HCI\u2019s program worked with her life\u2014not against it. \u201cThe flexibility is real. The way the modules are paced, the coaching labs, the accountability\u2014it all felt supportive, not stressful. I never felt like I was falling behind.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>She adds, \u201cThere\u2019s a rhythm to it. You\u2019re learning, applying, reflecting, and growing\u2014all while being held in a powerful community.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:heading {\"level\":3} -->\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-from-therapist-to-coach-a-new-kind-of-impact\"><a><\/a> <strong>From Therapist to Coach: A New Kind of Impact<\/strong><\/h3>\n<!-- \/wp:heading -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Now, Jennifer is building her second business, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stucktostriving.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em><u>Stuck to Striving<\/u><\/em><\/a>, a coaching practice designed for people who feel like they\u2019ve tried everything but keep slipping back into the same dysfunctional patterns.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>\u201cMy clients are often successful on the outside but feel caught in a loop on the inside. They\u2019ve read the books, listened to the podcasts, maybe even done therapy\u2014but they\u2019re still stuck. That\u2019s where coaching comes in. It\u2019s forward-focused, action-oriented, and deeply transformative.\u201d<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>She\u2019s quick to clarify that her coaching work doesn\u2019t replace therapy\u2014it complements it. \u201cI\u2019m here to empower.
