You may have noticed, health is having a major moment.
You can see it in our movement away from a processed food culture to one that embraces the importance of organic, whole food consumption. You can see it in the mainstream appeal of yoga and other wellness practices that promote healthy lifestyles.
With the healthcare space evolving, nutrition is going through exciting and promising shifts. The old nutrition model included calorie counting, calculating points, and eating from a prescribed list of “acceptable” foods—foods that were usually processed and full of chemicals.
This model was not only restrictive and impossible to maintain long-term, but also led to many of today’s problems—like the global lifestyle disease epidemic we’re currently facing.
