Not long ago, Kenni separated from the fitness studio she was working with. She lost all of her clients and found herself starting over from scratch. Diane Poulios is a nurse by trade and never anticipated making a career change. But when her two children grew up and moved out, she found herself reevaluating her life and realized she wanted something to call her own.
Diane enrolled in a coaching program, but she didn’t feel as though it gave her the tools she needed to put her skills into practice. She enrolled in the Become a Health Coach program in 2015 and then launched her own business. It grew slowly at first and Diane continued working at her regular job as a nurse recruiter. Eventually, Diane started putting her coaching skills to work…at work!
She’d noticed that a lot of nurses who became managers or leaders ended up with declining health as they focused on helping everyone else. Diane wanted to do something to help them. With her experience as a nurse, combined with the coaching skills she learned as a BHC student, she began coaching her co-workers.
Eventually, an executive leader asked her to run a Life Coaching group for leaders. Diane found herself putting a lot of energy into coaching at work, but wasn’t getting paid for it—so she decided to do something about it.
Diane wanted to enroll in Mastery to advance her skills, but the cost was prohibitive. So she thought of an outside-the-box solution. She approached leadership at her company and asked them to pay for it. She filled out a proposal and it was approved.
As a Mastery student, Diane used her skills to advance her position at work. She started a coaching program for leadership within in her business to help nurses learn to care for themselves and for their patients. Diane got a raise and now teaches nurses and leaders to give care the right way and care for themselves, enhancing their professional development.
It was a big stretch for her, but Diane credits Mastery with her unique, impactful, and successful new career path. Diane has used the tools she learned in Mastery to help nurses be more patient and present with the patients in their care. She says that the skills she learned at HCI provided a great framework of caring for each other and it melds her nursing experience with an atmosphere of care, energy, and communication.
Mastery also helped Diane improve her relationship with her husband and her kids. She’s learned how to look at life more positively and create a world that fulfills her dreams.

Prior to enrolling at HCI, Holly Toronto worked in the fashion industry, where she felt compelled to uphold certain diet and body standards. She found herself struggling with disordered eating. After realizing not only was this unhealthy, but that she wanted more for her life, Holly embarked on a journey to accept and celebrate her body. As a result, she realized she wanted to help other women learn how they can live in a world where they never have to go on a diet again so they can focus on what’s most important to them.
Holly enrolled in the Become a Health Coach program, completing BHC in 2015. She thought that completing the program would be the hard part—but her entrepreneurial journey ended up having the most impactful growth and change.
Holly launched her coaching business in 2016 and in the first couple of years of her business, she found herself struggling to grow her business and earn enough money to replace her corporate job. She found herself measuring her success by how much money she was earning and when she didn’t begin earning as much as she wanted, she even considered returning to her safe corporate job.
But in 2017, her journey took another turn when she enrolled in HCI’s Mastery program. She joined a mastermind group of women in Mastery who had created amazing 6-figure businesses. She realized, If they could do it, she could too. Holly realized that as long as she was focusing on the external measures of achievement, she would never be truly happy—and would never grow her business.
In 2018, Holly saw a huge shift in her business. With the support of her fellow HCI students, Holly gave herself permission to stop holding back and create the programs she wanted to create. She participated in HCI’s $10k in 10 Weeks challenge and made $34k. She’s now made more money in just four months than the whole previous year. She says the biggest difference was how she showed up for herself and her business. In her journey, she’s had moments of joy and expansion and massive moments of contraction, doing deep work with coaches and her mastermind group. She credits the HCI community with holding a higher vision for her.
Through the personal development work she completed as a BHC and Mastery student, she realized she was worthy and complete before a single dollar makes it into her bank account. Holly now helps her clients learn to expand their choices and not limiting themselves to the path they think they should take and instead living into their true purpose.

Summer was in college to become a doctor, and remembers sitting in organic chemistry with a bar of chocolate and a latte, daydreaming about her future doctor’s office. She was imagining her patients coming in to see her, sitting on that starchy paper on the exam table…but when she pictured herself writing a prescription for her patient, it was like a record-scratch.
She hadn’t thought of the impact of writing prescriptions for her future patients…and realized that it was against her values. She had studied herbal medicine in the past, but could never figure out how to take it off the ground and work with people. In that record-scratch moment, Summer did some research and was led into the world of Health Coaching!
It was such a strong instinct and such a strong pull, that Summer just jumped in. Everything about the idea felt perfect to her and now she had an opportunity to get trained in a field she was passionate about. She used the student loans she had for college to fund her Health Coach training and launched her career.
Now, Summer does work that is rewarding, that she loves. Her own health has improved and resulted in deeper healing for herself. Health Coaching has really taught her a lot about being authentic and real. She realizes she doesn’t have to be perfect, she just has to somebody who walks their talk, someone who can stand up and say, “Yeah, I eat ice cream and cupcakes sometimes.”

Ashley was training for a marathon in college and one weekend a Health Coach hosted a workshop, talking about how to eat and train for the marathon. She started following her, because I thought her job looked really fun. After college, I went into finance, but Health Coaching came back into my life and she couldn’t escape the feeling that coaching was what she should do.
Ashely felt called to help other people wake up to what turns them on in life, and in that sense she felt like coaching was a perfect fit. As it turns out, choosing to pursue Health Coaching was a now or never moment for her. An advertisement came into her email inbox and she thought, “You know what? I don’t care about how this is going to work or all the details, I know that this is something that I want to experience and be involved in, I’ll let it unfold.”
Ashley knew it was the right time, and she signed up, loving every minute of it. Now, her life is completely different today than it was three years ago. On the most basic level, her raining taught her what it truly means to eat healthy, and it helped her understand her relationship to food.
From there, she learned how to relate to herself better and how to relate to others better. She discovered how to get into rapport with herself and with what I want in life, and that completely changed my whole experience of life.
Ashley says that before she was a Health Coach it was like she was totally turned off and numb to life, in a soul-sucking job and working crazy hours. And now, as a Health Coach, she fees alive every day.

He became a personal trainer after spending four years in the Marine Corps, but frequently got frustrated because a lot of times he could sense that what his clients needed was to think about what they were eating, about their habits, and how to handle stress. He knew he needed to do something more with them, to help them get clear on what is important.
He liked the idea of having the freedom and flexibility to work from anywhere, any time, with anyone no matter where their geographical location was, which is ultimately what drew him to Health Coaching. He says that what’s most exciting is that he loves what he does. He loves talking with clients and taking them through the process. Now, Rasul says that he gets better results from clients coaching than he ever did personal training alone.

Tysan was a dancer in her early twenties but had started to struggle with weight and felt that the support and guidance she needed was more than a diet plan. She made an appointment with a Health Coach who mentored her for the next 4 years. She went back to dancing, but a couple of years ago, after having two kids and a handful of personal training clients, she wanted to get into Health Coaching, helping her clients make a deeper change outside of fitness.
Tysan had taken another training but wasn’t sure how to put her coaching into practice. Then she found Stacey Morgenstern and HCI. Her training helped her completely change her business. She went from working seven days a week and running from home to home as a trainer, to working from home, 100% online, five days a week. And she makes more on average per hour. As a result of her success, she has been able to buy her first home in the country, move out of New York City, and feel more satisfied by her work.
