It’s hard for many of us to kick our copious coffee or tea drinking habit to the curb.
Here’s a super simple, clean Green Tea alternative to keep your energy up and boosted throughout your coaching day with no spikes or crashes. Plus, it has the added benefits of fresh ginger and turmeric, which are immune-boosting, anti-inflammatory powerhouse roots!
All you’ll need to get started with your Immune Boosting Magical Health Elixir are 3 ingredients and 3 simple steps:
- Green Tea
- Turmeric (preferably fresh — you can grate it with the skin on! Or powdered)
- Ginger (preferably fresh — you can grate it with the skin on! Or powdered)
In one jar, steep about two teaspoons of Green Tea for about one and a half minutes in boiling water that has been allowed to cool off for a few minutes. Otherwise, the tea gets burnt. Green Tea doesn’t steep for as long as black tea so be mindful of the time. Then drain the leaves.
In another jar, grate fresh turmeric (1/2-1 teaspoon) and ginger (1/2-1 teaspoon) with a fine grater and you can even leave the skin on! If you prefer, feel free to peel it but it’s not necessary. If you can’t get fresh root ginger or turmeric, you can always find the powdered kind.
After you’ve drained the Green Tea leaves, simply pour that jar of Green Tea into the jar that has the grated roots, mix well, let it cool down and sip it at your leisure!
